The Ley Orgánica 15/1999 de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (LOPD, Personal Data Protection Act 15/1999) guarantees that people have the power of control over the information that organisations collect about them as well as the use of the same by the organisations. The Act defines the ARCO (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition) rights regarding information held about data subjects, and demands that the organisations allow citizens access to these rights and that the organisations demonstrate, in a reliable manner, that they are complying with these rights.
3D Health, by way of its "eARCO" service, permits companies to comply with their ARCO rights obligations by using certified electronic notification.
